1 Peter: Christ's Victory = Our Victory

Life Group questions 

1. Read 1 Peter 3:18 and Isaiah 53:3-11. In what ways did Jesus suffer for us?  Why is it important to remember this?  

2. Why does Peter make the point that Jesus died once for sins? Read Hebrews 9:23-28 to help.  

3. Read 1Peter 3:19-22. How do Peter’s words here lend credibility to the historicity of Noah’s flood? Have you wrestled with this question? Do you believe in an old earth or a young earth? Why?  

4. Have you been baptized? Why or why not? Read Acts 2:38, Romans 6:3-6, Mark 16:15-16. Why is baptism important? Why is baptism for those who have believed? Does baptism save you? Consider the thief on the cross and Ephesians 2:8-10.  

5. Read 1 Corinthians 15:54-55. How does Christ’s victory affect our lives?  What does it look like in our everyday lives to walk in victory?
